Loved reading to my kids about being grateful.

Learning gratitude is really important in our affluent and speedy society. This book helps, but the prose is only average. Hope other authors will take this topic in hand, or some clever kids songwriter.

My son and I love this book. We also bought other books in the series. I ask him questions to relate his own experience with the character in the book.

This is an absolutely beautiful book that had me tearing up the first time I read it. It explains gratitude to children in such a developmentally appropriate way. I also love the rhyme and concept of a “gratitude stone.” I plan to make one for my preschool class.

What a great story to teach a difficult skill of gratitude. I love reading this story. Engagement was very high for it. The pictures are awesome. I have other books by this author and she didn’t disappoint.

This book was amazing. My daughter related to it so much and even wanted to take it to school when the teacher talked to the class about gratitude. I loved that the teacher read the book to the class too!!! This is amazing as I am teaching my child how to be grateful for what she has.

I’m glad I bought this cheerful, colorful book. I’ll be happy to read this to kids to teach them about the power of gratitude and appreciation. At the end of this sweet, rhyming story, in the back of the book, the reader is encouraged to write down 3 things that he/she is thankful for & is instructed to do this for 5 days, which is a great way to increase the momentum of the good feelings. Really nice job by author Alicia Ortego.

It is about a seven-year-old girl who learns about gratitude. The book is colorful and eye-catching, and the tale is told in child-friendly poetry.

I’m always so excited to read from the Superpower Series! And this is no exception. Very easy to read and follow along with Betsy’s story. The emotion jumps right out of the book and will have you being grateful for those “little but great” things in life too.

The book was perfect for teaching gratitude and appreciation for the simple things and was very relatable for my PreK class

This book was a good explanation of gratitude and how to incorporate it into a young child’s life. We bought this book in early December as my sons sole focus seemed to become how many and what kind of presents he would be getting for Christmas. We wanted to take the focus off of material things and the constant asking for more, and this helped.

I read this book to my mentor group last week. We are talking about gratitude and they really liked it. I give it a 10 out of 10.

Must have for anyone with children! This book has a beautiful and important message, and it’s beautifully illustrated as well. It’s never too early to talk to your children about gratitude and model it as well. I love that Ms. Ortego’s books talk about practical applications at the end too.

Great children’s book

I have returned many books purchased for a precocious 5-year-old girl because, while most of the books (carefully selected based on reviews) are beautifully illustrated, the stories are some combination of dull, plotless or surprisingly nearly pointless. This was exceptionally well-written, inspirational. I will pass this one on to the intended recipient with sincere thanks for everyone involved.

Alicia Ortego’s books are one of the most amazing books I’ve ever read. It is all well thought. The rhyming wasn’t forced.

The illustrations are great, beautiful and very engaging.

I highly recommend this to everyone. Children (and even adults) will learn lots of important lessons in her books that we all could apply on our everyday lives. Suitable for all ages.
